AMRHA Recreational Invitational Tournament
May 27, 2013
It was an extremely busy weekend for all teams involved in the tournament. With all games taking place on Saturday and Sunday it didn't allow for much rest. After the first year with 22 teams and now the 2nd year with 24 teams this is quickly becoming one of the bigger tournaments in Alberta.
The Recreational Invitational tournamnet has become crucial to the development of any new Inline programs in Alberta. Giving them exposure to one of the best things about Inline Hockey the "weekend tournament", while keeping the tournament at their skill level. Two associations that had big representation at the tournament were Didsbury and Wetaskiwin. Didsbury brought two 8U's, one 10U's, two 12U's. While Wetaskiwin brought one 10U, one 12U, one 14U and one 16U. After their success this weekend these programs can expect a big boost for Inline Hockey in their community in the near future
