3rd Annual Western National Championships

The 3rd Annual Western Nationals is rapidly approaching, and the excitement is building!  This year we have 10 adult teams participating - those are record numbers for participation in the adult division.  With a total of 40 teams participating, this years Western Nationals is shaping up to be the best yet!  We have teams from Moose Jaw, Wetaskiwin, Sherwood Park, Red Deer, Didsbury, Edmonton, Calgary, Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain.

For the first time ever the entire tournament will be played on sports court. With teams playing out of Ardrosson Rink and Millennium Place.  While this spreads the tournament out a bit.  The sport court allows for an increased pace of the game made and outweighs the convenience of using 2 of the multi surface facilities in Edmonton. 

Team Alberta will be running a fundraiser at Ardrosson for both Saturday and Sunday providing food services from 11 am to 2 pm.  Drop by for a hamburger, hot dog or baked goodies! Nothing beats a rink burger.  The Skills competition will run Saturday at 1 pm at Millennium place.  Hope you are all practicing!  See you next weekend!
