2024 Team Alberta Results
September 25, 2024

The Team Alberta program has been in existence for 15 years and at completion of each tournament the executive completes an evaluation. We take feedback from the players, coaches and parents with the goal of making improvements to the program for the next year. 2024 proved to be the best year of the program so far. Changes that improved the experience for the players and parents were implemented. Changes to the program should continue to strengthen the program into the future. Important events or milestones that happened in 2024 are:
- appointed Aaron Glenn the director of the program
- Transitioned the teams from one training camp to two
- Created a 9-10 year old team for the first time in years
- Brought in a few new coaches
- Had over 100 players register for evaluations, first time since 2013
- Formed 11 Team Albertas for the first time since 2013
With all these changes to staff, coaches and players we liked our chances at State Wars 20. However going into Missouri - the hotbed of Roller Hockey - is never easy. The 20th anniversary year proved to be one of the toughest tournaments the Alberta program has ever played in. We are proud of the teams and how they fared against the extremely stiff competition. The competition at State Wars is always intense and this year proved it can always get more so.
We are excited about the growth in the Team Alberta program and look forward to 2025 and beyond.
